Dr. Mark R. Honzel is the Red Door Life Medical Director who has specialized in internal medicine, addiction, and mental health medicine for over 40 years. He is also the physician and owner of the MRH Medical Group in Beverly Hills California, specializing in internal, HIV, and addiction medicine.  Board-certified in Addiction Medicine, Dr. Honzel graduated from Alpha Omega Alpha (top 1% of his class) from the University of Iowa in 1982 and completed an internal medicine residency and anesthesiology/critical care residency at Columbia University. He is also affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Southern California Hospital in Culver City. Dr. Honzel has had his own personal recovery experience and understands the issues and pain of those struggling with addiction. He is a firm believer in treating the drug-addicted/detoxing patient with understanding and compassion.
